Down the road apiece from Burgonia, we have a 3.7 mile section of rails-to-trails that skirts along the flood plain of the Cumberland River. It was a warm Valentines day so we decided to walk out to the old rail road bridge in celebration of the 'Bridges of Cheatham County.

Approaching the old rail road trestle on the rails to trails Cumberland Centennial Trail. Trestle was built to transverse the mouth of Sycamore creek as it flows into the Cumberland River.

A bass angler and the distant hills that cradle the  Cumberland river. There is plenty of life in them 'thar waters! "C'mon fish...bite!" -->

The bridge dedication plaque stating this bridge was build by the New York Bridge works in 1906.
