Wholeness in the
Seed
I look beyond the golden leaves of fall
Above the fields of dormant soil
To the iron sky
I cry
And a Bluejay agrees.
Take these cares of mine as seeds to plant
There is a message here,
There is new growth
And wholeness in the seed.
To the iron sky
I place my trust
And a Bluejay agrees.
I have not fathered a child
But I am a dad.

A poem of trust and devotion to adoption -Kevin

Out to the
Edge
Floating our hearts out to the edge of our fingertips
We pull emotion from the sky.
An orange sunrise heats up the frost and steam rises
With so much within us that has to try
To cope with all the unshed tears.
To be witness to a darkened skyline of the past
I have taken you into my heart
And all of this cannot last.
Angels weep, as they are powerless to do more than guide
They see the tears of the world rise into the sun
As darkness disappears into so much light
You are safe here and Peace will come.
You are loved.

| I wrote this poem with displaced children in mind. Far too
many kids have been subject to abusive or neglectful beharvior by their biological parents
and as a result have been placed in childrens homes or foster care. There are many
children waiting for an adoptive family to love them unconditionally while helping them
pick up the pieces to eventually mature into secure, well adjusted adults. -Kevin |
| On a rainy Tuesday, my mind fills with all that is out
there...the wide open crevices of my dreams. They call me to come to them...to cradle them
in the energy of desire. Creative endeavors prance in my mind's eye like ice
crystals on an early morning window welcoming a sunrise. And in the center of all
that is possible...is my love for you. Janet, Nov 2nd, 1997 about life with Kevin in Burgonia... |
